I just watched the third Lord of the Rings extended version last night!!! I loved it!! I now want to read the books to see what they changed in the movies, and then watch the movies again. If you haven't seen the trilogy, you should!

my trip

Over a month ago I had a big vacation. I meant to post what happened like a week after it happened, but I wasn't able too. Anyway, I will be posting what happened.

After a slight delay in leaving (5 hours), we left to go to...

Oh! Before we left, my dad's administrative assistant and his wife gave us...





They filled this big bag with snacks which were greatly enjoyed along the trip :-)!
When we got to Santa Cruz, we stayed at this hostel. A hostel is this place that's like a motel-except nicer and cheaper-but you stay in this house with other people. The family hostel that we stayed in the first night we had a separate room, and the second night my mom and I were in a girls' hostel, and my dad and brother in the boy's hostel. This is the hallway. To the left is the other people's room. To the right (it's hard to see) is our room. Straight and to the left is the bathroom that everyone shares.

This is the bed my parent slept on. The door is to the left. This bed was in the the front part of the room.



It's a little messy, but this is where Nathan and I slept. I was on the top :-) This picture is taken from my parents' bed.



This kitty was so sweet!! It can right up to us and started to rub up against us.



Unfortunately, this bird started dive bombing the cat. We don't know why. There might have been babies near by.
